WarLDS photo exhibition – Conflict in pictures

For those of you who are not in Germany currently: here is a look at the photo exhibition for Art of Buna, the Cologne Art Galery who choose to work with me and takes a look across my travel in Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey and on the Balkan route, where thousands of refugees from Asian countries are stuck.
The harsh conditions of life of the people I have met, be it in the country of conflict or as they have decided to flee the conditions in their homeland, are the red thread in this. Whether it is the lack of a childhood, the lack of housing or of economical perspectives – in all cases insecurity goes first, not allowing for any planing as we are used to in our Western lives and comfort zones. The migration of many of these people and families goes with a dream of the West and of Europe in particular, often with many disillusions on arrival, as laws in Europe get tightened for refugees coming to our shores.
